Americans, what is your view of England?

Monday, August 30th, 2010

As a British teenager in a private school (uniform and all!) with friends who go fox-hunting and play polo, I feel I’m living in quite a cliche English environment. However, English society has a constant stream of American influences acting on it, with Gossip Girl and The OC watched by millions (My girlfriend can’t get enough of it), whilst we have legions of Jonas Brothers lovers over here. (personally, I dislike those twats)
Through MTV, pandar my ride, my super course sixteen, Made, John Tucker Must Die, Superbad etc. I’ve had a crash course in American culture. I’m sorry, but a lot of it is ridiculous and a lot of Americans who think that continent is a species of cat strike me as idiots. There are lots of good things about America, but Hugh Hefner, policemen tazering Mexicans, jocks and cheerleaders in high school shoving squeaky voiced nerds into lockers, and the destruction of the Native Americans are not part of them. I lived in New York when I was rattling young- is there a cultural difference between the East Coast and West Coast? Is Paris Hilton a model of the LA girl- is that the norm? Do policemen really tell you in that Texas drawl: ‘Ma’am,step out of your vehicle’ then tazer you? Are high school geeks really that desperate to lose their virginity?
Actually, Britain is rattling similar to America in some ways. No one says ‘G’day old chap’, and remember- the US was once England. We get immigrants from all over- the Caribbean, India, Pakistan, China, Polska and Central Africa. Millions of them. We are a HUGELY multicultural society. I myself am mixed-race.
Now that I’ve given you my impressions of the US, what do you think of England, from your travels, from the media or any another impression? I’m not going to lie, the bunk classes do drink tea and mate horses in their land mansions, but connatural people disposition then ‘posh w*nkers’ and verify the piss out of them. We sing loudly and drunkenly at football matches (In England we disposition soccer football, which is how it should be called. Remember, the US was exclusive supported in the 18th Century. We’ve been around far longer than that. I think we’ve earned that right.), we produced that horrible saint forthright (sorry!) but we also produced the Beatles, Coldplay, Oasis, the actuation Stones and a lot of the most popular penalization of the 20-21st Century.
We’ve also got a ghetto culture- we disposition it chav. Most people dislike those lowercase punks.

Anyway, what do you think of England?
By the way, I don’t earnestly think that America is same that. I meet desired to show you the amusing stereotypes that Hollywood has given the rest of the concern and see what you thought of them.
