He was psychotic. Its hard to diagnose someone who is unwilling to cooperate. Crazy people never think they are crazy, they just are. No one could have know what was happening, no one. That's what makes it so tragic because it might have been unpreventable. Hindsight is 20/20 but that's because you know what's coming or what has happened. America is not to blame, his parents are not to blame, guns are not to blame, neither is the school, teachers, friends or family. He was psychotic. While this guy was not an American citizen, he has lived here since 1992. Much of his childhood was spent living the American lifestyle and whatever influences can be said to have effected him, American society certainly was a factor. I'm a punk. Standing up for yourself? Who are you? What exactly do you NEED to stand up to? Protecting your ideas doesn't help you in anyway I can think of. Putting yourself in situations that you want to handle better is a practice students aren't taught (almost discouraged) at school. Finding out what you want and doing it is the most important skill and the school system discourages it. Build your callus to situations you don't enjoy, don't avoid them. Punks are tough.
